How To Ensure Safety in Your Home
Better safe than sorry should be more than a cliche to the wise. It's important to cross all t’s and dot all i’s when it comes to protecting one's home.

The home is a sanctuary, a place where an individual can trust to relax, keep their guards down and unwind without fear of intrusions or accidents.

Here are some things you can do to ensure that you can be safe at home both night and day.

1: Ensure that all doors and windows are properly locked, especially when leaving the house and at night.

2. Keep track of all your spare keys. When you have to leave a key behind, ensure that it is kept in an inconspicuous, secure place; P.S: keeping it under the foot mat or the flower pot might not very prudent.

3: Ensure that you live in a secure environment. With a gated estate or compound, you can be sure that access would be restricted or denied by any intruder who cannot properly identify themselves or cannot be identified by you.

4: Ensure all electrical appliances or turned off before leaving home or at night to avoid accidents.

5: Ensure that the taps and water outlets are properly turned off to avoid flooding.

6: Baby proof your home if you have children or toddlers at home.

7: Ensure the gas switch and knobs are properly turned off after every use.

8: Do not leave hot items, irons, pots unattended.

9: As soon as any fault is detected, be sure to contact a professional to tackle the issue and have it fixed.

10: When in doubt, it's always better to err on the side of caution.

Stay safe and happy.

Cheers
